OneNote will not update default notebook for emailed notes

Trying to update the default location of the notes that I send myself via email (using me@onenote.com).

Went to this site to update my email settings: https://www.onenote.com/EmailSettings

I changed the default notebook location, clicked "save".

When I test it, the notes still land at the old location.

I gave it a few hours to propagate, tried changing the setting using different browsers (including Edge), nothing will do.

Thoughts?

Thanks!

    Hi,

As far as I know OneNote has no default notebook, could you provide a screenshot about your setting?

For changing the location for notebooks, go to File- Options- Save and backup.

For changing the default location when "Send to OneNote", go to File- Options- Send to OneNote.

Please be a bit more precise to explain your problem or you can upload a screenshot so that I can get more accurate solutions to this problem. I’m glad to help and follow up your reply.

If you go to https://www.onenote.com/EmailSettings# it's not possible to change the default location, where notes "Send by e-mail" to "me@onenote.com" are kept. After the first setup you cannot change the selected location. Actually it saves the change to the drop down but it is never activated since new e-mail notes keep stored to the first location.
