Question

I'm trying trying to complete the Exercise - Add and delete users in Microsoft Entra ID. Step 3 is where the issue is, when I go to create under Microsoft Entra ID, I get the error: The extension encountered an unexpected error and provided no additional details. I'm unable to complete this model.

Thanks for reaching out to us on the Microsoft Q&A forum.

Based on the issue description, we understand you are using a trial subscription. Free trial subscriptions cannot create an additional tenant ID. To create one, you must have a paid Microsoft Entra P1/P2 license plan. Microsoft now restricts this functionality to paid customers only, meaning trial subscription users will be unable to create additional tenants from the Microsoft Entra admin center.
