Gaming block policy also blocks notifications settings access

Hello, my organization blocks access to Gaming mode on our Windows 11 corporate owned machines. We have recently discovered that it is likely also blocking user access to Notifications Settings. They can click on the button, but nothing happens.

Found the following article:

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/mem/intune/configuration/device-restrictions-windows-10

Specifically this portion: Gaming: When set to Block, this setting:

Prevents access to the Settings app > Gaming area on the device.

On Windows 11 22H2 and later, it hides the Settings app > System > Notifications area on the device. Specifically, it adds the ms-settings:quietmomentsgame page to the Settings/PageVisibilityList CSP.

How can we modify our security policy to allow access to Notification settings without unblocking Gaming mode?

Thanks for your time.

@Michael S Thanks for posting in our Q&A.

For this issue, if you want to block Gaming and allow access to Notification, it is suggested to try to create a custom profile to make it. Here is a configuration as an example:

    Name: Hide Gaming

Description: Hide Gaming Under Settings App

    OMA-URI: ./Device/Vendor/MSFT/Policy/Config/Settings/PageVisibilityList

    Data type: String

    Value: hide:gaming-gamebar;gaming-gamedvr;gaming-broadcasting;gaming-gamemode;gaming-xboxnetworking

Note: Non-Microsoft link, just for the reference.

    Hope it is helpful.
