I am looking for the T SQL certification but found that 70-461 is retired on 31st Jan 2021.

Please suggest to me a good option of that.

Hello,

as Microsoft changed their certification program from a more technical approach to a role based approach, actually, there is no more any "pure" T-SQL certification.
You can find some learning modules with T-SQL in those role-based learning paths like "Data Scientist", "Data Engineer" or "Database Administrator"

Is the Azure Database Administrator Certification good enough for a data analyst that decides to do a SQL certification mandatorily?

If you are a Data Analyst, why not taking DP-500 "Azure Enterprise Data Analyst Associate"
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/certifications/azure-enterprise-data-analyst-associate/

DP-300 is more a general certification on how to deploy and manage databases in Azure, to choose which service in which use case, and then how to operate it.

DP-500 is more about data and how to handle large amounts of data, load, transform, and analyze them in Azure.

Currently, i am working towards getting certified in SQL & Azure tools for Data Analysis and Machine Learning.

Because of this filtering when submitting resumes, do you think the Azure Enterprise Data Analyst Associate will not get my resume thrown out of the window?

Why should they throw it away?

If you are applying for a position as a "Data Analyst," the best thing to have is a specialized certification in such topics.
As always... it depends =>

on what you want to apply to / what is your passion? Is it data? working with data? move numbers and statistics and create a beautiful report. Then the DP-500 is an excellent addition to your profile.

if it is more the infrastructure side of life, you like to operator service, provide excellent solutions, deploy them and take care of them, then DP-300 might be a better fit.

I just can recommend... read the description of all those certification based on data... there are a lot... even in the AI-field

So i can combine both Azure Enterprise Data Analyst (Analyst, Statistics) with Azure Data Scientist Associate (for ML), right?

Yeah, of cause, you can combine all of those certifications.

For example, you start with the Analyst as some kind of a basis, then enhance your knowledge (and certified proof) with Scientist, and then, even more, enhancing with the Administrator to proof your infrastructure knowledge... so you can show all these certifications - as a story in your resume - that your knowledge is based on solid knowledge all around the Microsoft Azure Data Platform. ;-)

Hi @Ankit Patel ,

Certifications for Windows Server and SQL Server products are gone to in favor of the new role-based certifications, as the cloud is rapidly taking over IT and in favor of Azure

You can continue learning from the Azure related modules

MCSA, MCSD, MCSE certifications retire; with continued investment to role-based certifications
