I am setting up an Azure Virtual Desktop infrastructure. I have set up a "personal" Windows 11 desktop. I subscribe to the workspace in the Microsoft Remote Desktop App (msrdcw.exe). When I try and connect to the virtual machine, I get the error code 0x50331765 with no further information. Searching the web results in no hits on the error code.

Does anyone have any information on this error?

Thank you,

Eric

    Hello, @Eric Logsdon !

What causes a 0x50331765 error when connecting to Azure Virtual Desktop Workspace?

Unfortunately, client side error codes usually don't provide much regarding the cause of the error when looking at service issues. Useful information for this scenario includes:

    • Screenshots
    • Are you able to connect via web client?
    • Is the VM Entra joined or hybrid joined?
    • Is this a synced user or a cloud only user?
    • Are you using the latest MSRDC version?
    • What error was logged in AVD insights?
    • Can you connect from a different device?
    • Do you use VPN software?
    • Do you have an ActivityID?
    • Do you have RDClientAutoTrace files?

In this instance we are taking a closer look at the resources in question and I've reached out directly for additional information.
