I am trying to set up a PXE server for Windows 11.

We have about 200 systems in our company that need to be imaged.

They are all new systems.

I am using Infoblox and a TFTP Server setup to answer PXE requests.

I followed the steps Outlined on this page.

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/deployment/configure-a-pxe-server-to-load-windows-pe

The problem is I get an IP address and it downloads the NBP file but then it just sits at that screen.

I select F12

Then IPV4

Then I get Station IP Address

Then Server IP Address (PXE)

NBP Filename is Bootmgfw.efi

NBP Filesize is672640 Bytes

Downloading NBP File...

NBP file downloaded successfully.

Then it just hangs

The laptops are Dell Latitude 7445, so they are UEFI only

Secure boot is disabled

I am not sure how to get past this point.

I followed the link above exactly as it was written

    Hi,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Q&A forum.

1,Can we get any error? You can try to add the WinPE driver for the storage and network for Dell Latitude 7445 to have a try. Similar thread for your reference:

2,Please check if your firewall / antivirus software is blocking traffic between the server and client.

3,Are you using MDT together? Can we PXE boot successfully for any computers?

Thanks for your time. Have a nice day!

    Best regards,

    Simon

    1. I do not get any error messages at all.
    2. The WINPE drives have already been added.
    3. I open the Windows firewall for the TFTP server ports.
    4. I set inbound and bound rules.
    5. I am not using MDT, and this is my first attempt at setting up a PXE server
