Access table cell confidence scores in Azure Document Intelligence Preview API?

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to access table cell confidence scores using the Azure Document Intelligence preview API (as mentioned in the docs here: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/ai-services/document-intelligence/concept/accuracy-confidence?view=doc-intel-4.0.0).

I'm using the Python SDK version 1.0.0b4 but can't seem to find the confidence scores in the API response. Has anyone successfully accessed these scores? Any guidance on how to retrieve them would be greatly appreciated.

To access table cell confidence scores in the Azure Document Intelligence Preview API, ensure you are using the 2024-07-31-preview API version for custom models.

This version introduces confidence scores specifically for tables, table rows, and table cells.

If you are using an earlier version, these scores will not be available in your API response.

Make sure that your Python SDK is updated to support this API version.

If you're on the correct version but still cannot find the confidence scores, check the JSON output from your analysis operation. Focus particularly on the page Results node, where you can find the confidence values associated with each key/value result.

Thanks @kothapally Snigdha - I am on the latest version of the Python lib and the API. I can see the confidence scores for each word in the pages response but I can't see any confidence scores for any object in the tables response. I am using the general document "prebuilt-layout" model id in the analyze request. Are these confidence scores specifically only for custom trained models? If so that seems surprising.

In the Azure Document Intelligence API, confidence scores for table cells are available starting with the 2024-11-30 (GA) API version for custom models. If you are using the general document "prebuilt layout" model, confidence scores for table objects as these scores are specifically supported for custom models.
To access confidence scores for tables, rows, and cells, you would need to utilize a custom model trained with the appropriate API version that supports these features.
