To migrate your emails from PrivateEmail to Microsoft 365 (Outlook), please ensure the following prerequisites are in place:
- Domain and email set up in Microsoft 365
- Microsoft 365 accounts created for migration
- Email list with usernames and passwords
- IMAP server details (incoming server, port, authentication type)
- Admin role in Microsoft 365
Once ready, follow these steps:
- Sign in to Microsoft 365 Admin Center → go to Exchange Admin Center → Classic Migration Center.
- Select IMAP Migration.
- Upload a
.csvfile with email address, username, and password for all users. - Enter IMAP server details (e.g.,
mail.privateemail.com, Port 993, SSL). - Choose authentication type (Basic) and encryption layer.
- Name your migration batch and select a notification email.
- Start migration and monitor progress.

After migration, don’t forget to update your DNS MX records so new emails route to Microsoft 365.
