I have created a SharePoint site and given access to an external supplier so that they can upload files to the site. He has sent a screenshot showing the path and the uploaded files but I am unable to find them. He has edit permissions and I have owner permissions.

When you reviewed the screenshot your external supplier sent, does the path shown there exactly match your SharePoint site and document library name?
In your document library, have you checked whether there are any filters, views, or sorting settings applied that might be hiding the files?
Would you be able to ask your external supplier to share the direct URL (link) to one of the uploaded files? It would be helpful to confirm whether you can access that link from your side.
Additionally, if you upload a test file yourself to that same location, does your external supplier see your file on their end?
Lastly, aside from you as the owner, are there any other members within your organization who have access to this site? If yes, could you check whether they are able to see the files or if the issue is only happening on your side?

Thank you for your reply. I can confirm that the screenshot of the path does match. There are no filters selected and the other member cannot see the files either. I have asked the external supplier to send a direct URL link but they are saying they are not sure they can send a link. Could you confirm the exact process they would need to do to send a link. In addition, I will upload a file and see if they can see it.

At this point, you may also want to follow the steps below to double check your setup and try creating a new site, then share it again with your external user:

First, please make sure external sharing is enabled at the organization level. You can follow this guide: Manage sharing settings for SharePoint and OneDrive in Microsoft 365 - SharePoint in Microsoft 365 …

I’d recommend using “New and existing guests”, as it’s secure and requires the external user to verify via email or OTP, while also creating a guest account in Entra ID.

Then, it’s worth checking Microsoft Entra under External Identities > External collaboration settings to ensure guest invitations are allowed and that the supplier’s domain isn’t blocked: Configure external collaboration - Microsoft Entra External ID | Microsoft Learn

After that, try creating a new SharePoint site for testing: Create a site in SharePoint - Microsoft Support

Make sure external sharing is also enabled at the site level. The site setting needs to be the same as or more restrictive than the organization level, not more permissive: Change the sharing settings for a site - SharePoint in Microsoft 365 | Microsoft Learn

Once that’s done, share the new site (or a document within it) again with the external user and see if they can access it: Share a site - Microsoft Support

As an alternative quick test, you can create a new folder, generate a sharing link, and send it to them so they can try uploading a file directly: Share SharePoint files or folders - Microsoft Support. This helps confirm whether permissions are working as expected.
