    Hi @Alisa R Baio

I hope you're doing well today.

Based on the information you shared that you are looking to set up Salesforce MAX to sync with your Microsoft Calendar.

This integration requires a few configuration steps to work correctly, as it depends on the right permissions being granted across both platforms. Without these settings properly in place, the sync connection may not establish or update as expected.

To help get this working for your situation, please follow the steps below.

1/ Check the Salesforce sync feature in use

    • In Salesforce Setup, open Outlook Integration and Sync and confirm whether the organization is using Einstein Activity Capture for calendar synchronization.
    • Salesforce states that Einstein Activity Capture is the supported approach for syncing Microsoft email and calendar activity, whereas Lightning Sync is not available for new customers and older tenants may need to migrate.

2/ Verify the Microsoft 365 account connection and permissions

    • Please confirm that the Microsoft 365 mailbox being connected is the same account that owns the calendar the user wants to sync.
    • If the connection has not been consented successfully, a Microsoft 365 Global Administrator may need to complete the OAuth approval, since Microsoft Graph and Microsoft 365 integrations rely on registered access and approved permissions to allow calendar access.

3/ Test the calendar sync with a sample event

    • After the account is connected, create a test calendar event in Outlook with a contact that already exists in Salesforce, then review whether the event appears in Salesforce after the initial sync period.
    • If the event does not appear, please recheck that the user’s email address in Salesforce matches the connected Microsoft account and confirm that the selected sync direction is appropriate for the intended workflow.

I hope the information I shared earlier was somewhat helpful in addressing your issue. If you have any further questions or updates, please don’t hesitate to share. I’m always happy to assist further if needed.

Thank you for your patience and your understanding. I look forward to continuing the conversation.
