Is the Surface Pro 3 considered a tablet or PC download under Office 365 Personal?

With this purchase I get 1 install on PC's or Macs with the Office 365 and, additionally, 1 install on tablets? Is that correct? So when installing on a Surface Pro 3 what type of install will that count as?

In this article it states that since the Surface has a removable keyboard and is touch-enabled, it counts as a tablet, thus I can install Office 365 on both my home PC and my Surface Pro 3.  How do I do that?  I specifically purchased this version as I have only my home PC for most of my work and my Surface Pro 3 for when I travel.

You can install Office 365 Personal on both your home PC and your Surface Pro 3.

On each device, just go to Office.com/MyAccount and click Install.

    Thanks for the update.

I was under the impression that 365 only looked at the CPU. Surface 3 Pro's have a PC class CPU, so I though they were "mistakenly" counted as PC's.  The older Surface RT was definitely treated as a tablet.

I don't believe the 365 installation mechanism can distinguish between a tablet or PC

Either that's false, or Microsoft can't count past five:

I exceeded my limits for Office 365 Home (limit of five PCs & five tablets) by having four Dell tower machines, one Microsoft Surface 3 (non-Pro), & one Lenovo 300 stick, all currently & actively licensed to run Office 365 Home.  That's six machines.

Looking at https://account.microsoft.com/devices for my account, my Microsoft Surface 3 & Lenovo 300 stick are labeled tablets.  Clearly at least one (or more likely, both) are considered tablets for the purpose of Office 365 Home licensing as well.

Note my update to my message, clarifying that this was a non-Pro Surface 3.
