How to remove Onedrive from Excel 2016 Save As options?

Onedrive is a nuisance.

In my account for office 365 it says I cannot remove this stupid application: "You can't revoke permission because this has been assigned to you as part of a subscription or an admin role." There is no admin for my account, I just have 3 computers for the company using office 365, so this must mean I am forced by Microsoft to have Onedrive corrupting the office software.

Every time I try to save a file in Excel 2016 get tonnes of options to save in onedrive and have to click Y1 etc to save the file on the local computer. I have removed ondrive and ondrive business from the file from the Programmes and I am apprently not communicating with any MS servers. Thank God for that.

However, is there any way to get remove all onedrive options from Save As for Excel and Word so I get much better Save As options from previous office suits which saved my lots of time in saving files?

    hi ole,

there is no option to remove onedrive’s save as option in office apps.

however, you may choose the option to ‘save to computer by default’ so that you won’t have to do any additional clicks to save the file on your local computer.

additionally, you may also choose the ‘don’t show the backstage when opening or saving files’ so that office will automatically open the ‘save as’ window without going to the backstage.

    regards,

    sheen

Hi Sheen. That was fantastic. The Save As view is now pretty similar to what I have had in the past. Thank you.
