Unable to sign into OneDrive (Error Code 0x8004e4cf)

OneDrive is no longer syncing my work documents, and seems to be unable to sign me in.

I have already reinstalled OneDrive two or three times, to no effect. While it works fine after a reinstall, by the time I fire up my computer the next day it is no longer able to sign me in, with the following message:

There was a problem signing you in.

Please try again in a few minutes. (Error Code: 0x8004e4cf)

I've also attempted to manually input my OneDrive Cached Credentials, but this also had no effect.

A potentially related issue, my Mail and Calendar app is also no longer syncing with my work account (I can still access and manage these accounts by going through Settings > Accounts > Email & accounts). However, I am still able to login and utilize Office 365 apps like Word, Excel, etc. without issue, syncing problems aside.

Running Windows 10, with a personal account and a work account.

This is not a one-drive administrator issue. Reaching out to my employer's onedrive administrator will not solve anything. This is a microsoft issue. My computer won't let me access my work account and instead will only let me access Hotmail or my husband's one-drive account. And he has never accessed one-drive on this PC.

I have the same problem from time to time.

Also have a personal and a work account on my Laptop and also run Windows 10. At the same time I have the problem with MS Teams.

What works for me is to simply restart the computer. Pretty annoying

I'm having the EXACT same issue on Windows 10 (22H2, compilation 19045.2486 - fully updated), using OneDrive version 23.002.0102.0004. Strangely, this version is NOT even listed in recent OneDrive release notes (where the latest build is 22.238.1114.0002). It makes me think it might be a preview version or some test (despite my option to get "OneDrive insider previews" being off in the app).

It started a few days ago, and sometimes it can be fixed by a full reboot, only to appear in the following day. The only recent update done in the OS was the KB5022282 on 11 January 2023.

The account being synched is an OneDrive for Business (O365) one, which I've been using for years and it's working fine on mobile and browser.

I'm having the same problem since the same date you posted. I have another computer where the onedrive connection is totally OK.

Waiting for an answer from Microsoft.
