A family of Microsoft word processing software products for creating web, email, and print documents.
Dear MajaTJ,
I'm sorry to hear that you lost your unsaved Word document due to a crash. There are a few things you may try to recover your work:
- Check the AutoRecover folder:
Word automatically saves a copy of your document every few minutes in case of a crash. To find the AutoRecover folder, open Word and go to File > Options > Save. Look for the "AutoRecover file location" field to see where the folder is located. Once you find the folder, look for a file with a .asd extension that matches the name of your lost document.
- Look for temporary files:
Word also creates temporary files while you work on a document. To find these files, go to File > Info and look for the "Manage Document" section. Click "Recover Unsaved Documents" to see if your lost document is there.
However, if you still cannot find your document, I understand how frustrating this situation can be and sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused.
I recommend you contact Microsoft Online Support, as they have higher permission to remotely assist you and check your environment to see if there is any other way to recover documents. This would be a more efficient way in handling this case for you.
