I need help recovering deleted files!

Hi, this question is way out there, and I'm really not sure what kind of answer I'll get.

I'm a high schooler who has had a school microsoft account since elementary and on that account, I've written various stories and chapter books on word documents that were saved to my one drive. Now, when I'm an actual writer, I would love to go back and look at these pieces I did when I was younger, but unfortunately I deleted them all after one of my middle school teachers had me delete all of my files because my one drive was "messy". I went back to my outlook and have actually found multiple sharepoint links from years ago where I shared some of these documents to other friends' school accounts, but when I try to access them through the link, an error message appears (most likely because the files have been deleted). Is there any way at all that I can possibly recover any of these files? I've looked everywhere throughout my one drive and online office, but I think I need help beyond what I've been doing. Anything I can do?

    Hi Alice,

I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble recovering your deleted files in OneDrive.

Microsoft 365 and OneDrive have a feature called "Restore OneDrive" that allows you to undo all the actions that occurred on any files and folders within the last 30 days.

However, I suppose your files has been deleted more than 30 days. In this situation, you may try raising a support ticket and contacting Microsoft Online Support for further assistance. They have higher permission to check your OneDrive from back end and they may be able to help you recover your deleted files.

Note: To create a support ticket, you need to have admin privileges and if you aren’t admin of your Office 365 organization, please contact the admin of creating a new ticket. Reference: How do I find my Microsoft 365 admin? - Microsoft Support

Appreciate your patience and understanding with us. Have a great day!!

    Best Regards,

    Tina
