Hello,

I am hoping someone can help me find a solution to my question. I am creating a survey in microsoft forms. One of the questions in the survey is email address. Once the survey is submitted, I would like for a copy of the survey responses sent to the responder and the specific email address from the question in the survey. Is this possible?

Thanks,

Agreed. The whole point of automated email responses is to decrease workload, and so that folks who fill out our Form don't email us about it. Asking users to create a PDF of each response, copy addresses from an Excel form, and then individually send those responses seems ridiculous. Automatic responses should be a basic function and it exists in Google Forms - why not Microsoft Forms?

Yes, to access the feature of exporting survey responses to Excel and sending PDF copies to email addresses provided in the survey, you need to have a Microsoft 365 subscription that includes Forms. These features are available in the paid versions of Microsoft Forms, which are included in Microsoft 365 Business Standard, Microsoft 365 Business Premium, and Microsoft 365 E3 and E5 plans. If you have a free Microsoft account, you can still use Microsoft Forms, but some features may be limited.

Hello, This will send the email to the responder. I would like to utilize an answer from my survey to send the email. For instance, one of the questions in the survey would be "Email Address" and I would like to take the response details from the survey and send a PDF copy to that email address. Is this possible?

Yes, it is possible to send a copy of the survey responses to the email address provided in the survey. You can achieve this by setting up an email notification in Microsoft Forms. Here are the steps to follow:

    1. Open the survey in Microsoft Forms.
    2. Click on the "Responses" tab.
    3. Click on the three dots (...) at the top right corner of the page and select "Settings".
    4. Under "Form settings", toggle on the "Send an email receipt to respondents" option.
    5. Click on the "Customize receipt" button.
    6. In the "To" field, click on the "Add dynamic content" button and select the "Email Address" question from the survey.
    7. Customize the email message as desired.
    8. Click on the "Save" button.

Once you have set up the email notification, a copy of the survey responses will be sent to the email address provided in the "Email Address" question.
