Dear respected Trey Hunt,
Good day! Thank you for posting to Microsoft Community. We are happy to help you.
I’m sorry you’re having a problem and for the situation you encountered, we deeply understand the inconvenience caused and apologize for it.
As per your description, recently, we’ve noticed that users have reported a similar situation in this community. When users embed YouTube video in the presentation using YouTube Premium account, YouTube ads popping up in my PowerPoint presentations.
We really feel sorry about it. I understand the inconvenience that happened to you and apologize for it.
It sounds as though YouTube has changed their terms of service to allow them to display ads in videos hosted in Microsoft programs.
First, please send feedback to Microsoft(we also submit feedback from our side as well). To report the problem, click File> Feedback (or the Help tab> Feedback)> I Don't Like Something. Feedback submitted this way directly goes to the related Microsoft team; this is the best way to let PowerPoint developers be aware of this situation, help do an investigation of the issue and fix it soon.
On the other hand, we have reported the situation on our side. If you are using a Work or school account, I also recommend you report the situation to your tenant admin and ask them to raise a support ticket via Microsoft 365 Admin Center> Support> Help & support.
I'm sorry and I apologize for that.
