Office365 - Word web - table height resets

After transfering to Office365 and Word-web, we noticed what seems to be an error.
We would like a table in a word document to have certain dimensions.
We can set the dimensions of the table with no issues to any desired size.
But when reopening the document the table height shrinks back to minimum size (depending on the table contents).
The table WIDTH remains correct and is saved, thus leaving me to believe that the height resizing is an error.
Is there a way to fix this?

Word on the web lets you set a minimum height for your table rows, and not a fixed height. If you enter "too much" content, Word on the web will then increase the actual the row height.

The full version of Word running on a Mac or PC will let you set a fixed height that won't change regardless of the amount of content you put into a cell.

    Hi Marc Parmer Simonsen (marcs),

Greetings. Thank you for posting the thread to our community.

I understand your concern, it seems you’ve encountered issue saving table format in Word for the web. For the situation you’ve encountered, I do understand the inconvenience caused and feel very sorry about it.

After my test, this issue also happens on my side that the Height will re-adjust after re-open the document. Here is my test result as reference for you:

Since this issue happens in the Word online app and happens on my side as well, due to this situation, I’m afraid this is a temporarily server-side issue needs to be investigated from back end to find the cause. The Microsoft Support Team has higher permission to remotely assist you and collect background logs for the root cause. This is a more efficient way in handling this case for you.

If you are an admin, I recommend you get support by following steps from this link: Get support - Microsoft 365 admin | Microsoft Learn.

If you are not an admin, you can contact your admin to contact Microsoft support. You can look for the way to find your admin through this link: How do I find my Microsoft 365 admin? - Microsoft Support.

Please accept my apologies for redirecting you to the related team support, as the moderators in this community have limited resources and permission to verify the backend information and to get the quick and better assistance, we requested for this.

Appreciate for your patience and understanding.

Hope you having a nice day.

    Sincerely,

Hi Harry, I am also experiencing this issue and would like to stay updated on any fixes offered in the future.

In the meantime, a slight workaround is to use print screen or reading view. All row heights appear correct in these views.
