When is keyboard navigation coming back to the document viewer?

It has been gone since an April update to SharePoint and was supposed to come back based on a previous discussion thread. We're going on eight months out now and I'm still having to click through everything with my mouse. Any update?

Dear Daniel,

Thanks for your updates and kindness.

Based on my multiple tests with multiple PDF files, I can't reproduce the issue in our environment.

It should be an issue in your tenant.

I notice that the PDF viewer option in your tenant is different from us. I think that you may need to open a support ticket to our related team as soon as possible to report the issue and get it fixed.

If you aren't the administrator, I suggest you contact the administrator in your company and let him follow the steps in Get support - Microsoft 365 admin | Microsoft Learn to open a support ticket.

About admin roles in the Microsoft 365 admin center - Microsoft 365 admin | Microsoft Learn

How do I find my Microsoft 365 admin? - Microsoft Support

The administrator should be able to open the support ticket from Help & support in the Microsoft 365 admin center.

Then he can select the Phone support or the Email support as follows.

To simplify the process, I'd like to summarize the issue as follows.

Issue Symptom:

===============

Opening the file directly from the link and then typing Ctrl+P causes the printing page preview to be cut in OneDrive for Business.

Issue Environment:

=================

OneDrive for Business

Can we reproduce the issue?

=================

No

Next Step:

==================

Open a support ticket to our related team for further investigation.

Thanks for your effort and hope that the issue can be soon fixed by our related team.

Sincerely

    Dear Daniel,

    Thanks for your updates and kindness.

    I understand what you are talking about.

    Based on my test, Ctrl+P to print the document should still work in Office for the web. Could you change a browser at your side to see and let us know the result.

    For switching the documents, you can open the file in the Preview mode and then click on < or > to switch the files.

    Welcome to share any updates at your convenience.

    Sincerely

    Thanks Cliff. To clarify I was discussing keyboard navigation in the SharePoint document viewer more specifically (which is the same as OneDrive). The navigation bar went through a few different iterations since April and keyboard navigation and shortcuts were removed while these changes were happening. Shortcuts like pressing I to bring up the document properties on the right-hand side of the screen, keyboard L/R arrow navigation between documents, Ctrl+P to bring up the print dialog menu for the document and not the screen are a few that I've missed. Everything must be done via mouse now selecting the buttons on screen.

    Dear Daniel,

    I guess that you are talking about the shortcut navigation in Office for the web like what is showed in the Office applications like the following.

    If yes, it indeed haven't been available in Office for the web now.

    As it is a feature request in Office for the web, sorry for that we may have limited resources on helping you on that.

    As our product developers are willing to listen to users' requirements, I suggest you send your feedback and pass on your suggestions to our new feedback platform mentioned in the following article so that product developers know your suggestions and feedback to improve the product.

    Submit feedback for Microsoft 365 - Microsoft Community Center

    Please note that the platform page will load after a while depending on the network environments.

    You can also access the page as follows to submit feedback.

    You can use a personal account or a Microsoft 365 work or school account to send feedback.

    If you have submitted the similar feedback there, it may take some time for a final feature update. I hope that the process will be as fast as possible. Given the situation, I suggest you keep close eyes on the feedback you have submitted for the latest updates.

    If something is misunderstood, welcome to share any updates here about the feature you are talking about at your convenience and we'll try to see whether there are some workarounds we can find from our side.

    Your understanding is greatly appreciated!

    Have a nice day!

    Sincerely
