    Hi Lucas,

Thank you for reaching out and sharing your concern in this community. As per the information you have provided  may I ask you to confirm the following details:

    1. Does this account you are currently using to make the changes have Global Admin role and have you tried from a different admin account ?

    Connect-exchangeonline

    Then run:

    Set-DistributionGroup -Identity "******@domain.com" -RequireSenderAuthenticationEnabled $false

Please refer this link for information : Set-DistributionGroup (ExchangePowerShell) | Microsoft Learn

You can also contact Microsoft support if needed but as per the standard procedure, Microsoft 365 Global Admins in your organization may need to contact the Microsoft 365 support team from the backend through opening service request. For steps on how to open a service please check this link: : Get support - Microsoft 365 admin | Microsoft Learn (Online option).

You can also call Microsoft support via - Global Customer Service phone numbers - Microsoft Support

If your organization's Office 365 Business, Business, or Education subscriptions are managed by a federated partner or reseller and the global admin is unable to open a service request, they may need to reach out to the reseller's support provider for help. Once the service request is created, the Office 365 support team will get involved.

If you have any questions or need more help, please don't hesitate to reply back. Thank you for your time and cooperation.

Troubleshooting can take a few attempts to get it just right. Let’s continue working together you can reply back to my email if you have questions after trying the steps shared steps

Please note that our initial response might not resolve the issue right away. However, with your cooperation and more detailed information, we can work together to find a solution.
