Hello Sugumar Nidushan,

I just wanted to check if you were able to configurate the delegate access to the to be able to access the user's calendar

Manage permissions for recipients in Exchange Online | Microsoft Learn

  1. In the Exchange Admin Center, click Recipients > Mailboxes.
  2. Select the mailboxes that you want to access with delegate permissions.
  3. Click delegation on the new pane, click edit on read and manage (Full Access) to add the user who will access the account with delegate access
  4. When you're finished selecting users or groups to add as delegates, click Save or click confirm.
  5. Wait for some time for the permission to propagate and try to access the mailbox

To access the mailbox using outlook on the web you can follow the following steps.

  • Sign-in into the outlook on the web with your account you can use the following like https://outlook.office.com/
  • Click on the profile on the right corner
  • Click open another mailbox
  • Enter the email address of the other user you would like to access the mailbox for and click open
  • A new tab will be opened for the other user's mailbox
  • Navigate to the calendar to see the event on the user's calendar

    Hello Sugumar Nidushan,

    Good day to you!

    Thank you for the reply.

In the admin center there is no direct way to enable a user to access calendar private events and meetings. however, if you grant a full access to the mailbox the user with the delegate access to the entire mailbox can see all events on the calendar for the mailbox

    Hello Sugumar Nidushan,

Thank you for posting in the Microsoft community. We are happy to assist.

I understand you would like to know if there is a way to grant calendar delegate permission using Office 365 Admin or Exchange Admin center.

As of now there is no feature in admin center for directly delegating calendar permissions through the Office 365 Admin Center or the Exchange Admin Center.

currently in the admin center, you can grant delegate access with full access to the entire mailbox and the user will be able to view emails and calendar for the user.

For the admin to assign calendar delegate permission, the admin can use PowerShell to manage the calendar permission, you can also add

you can use the following article as a reference to assign calendar delegate permission:

    Add-MailboxFolderPermission (ExchangePowerShell) | Microsoft Learn

    Add-MailboxFolderPermission -Identity ******@domain.com:\Calendar -User ******@domain.com -AccessRights Editor

As this feature is not yet available in the admin center, it is recommended to suggest this feature directly to our Microsoft product development team using the feedback portal. the product development team continuedly review feedback submitted by user to identify bugs and suggestions for user to develop new features.

You can report this behaviour as directly to the product development team by submitting it as feedback on the following link. Ideas · Community (microsoft.com)

Please note that the community team and the Microsoft product development team are separate. The product development team is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Microsoft products. They work on implementing new features, fixing bugs, and making improvements based on users' feedback and other factors.

To see more details on how to submit feedback, see this article Learn how to provide feedback to Microsoft - Microsoft 365 adminsMicrosoft Learning.
