When booking meetings, I do not receive the response when attendees have accepted or rejected a meeting for example. Is there a setting somewhere that I'm missing?

Dear @J Jones

Welcome to the Q&A Community.

Thank you for sharing your concerns. Regarding the issue you're experiencing, may I kindly ask for a bit more information?

  1. Which platform are you using to schedule meetings such as Microsoft Teams directly, Outlook desktop app (New Outlook or Classic Outlook), Outlook Web, or Teams mobile app?
  2. Are you the meeting organizer, or are you viewing the invite from a shared calendar or delegated mailbox?
  3. Are you not receiving notifications through Microsoft Teams or Outlook?
  4. Have you updated your Outlook, Teams apps, and your device’s operating system to the latest version?

In the meantime, you can refer to the workarounds listed below:

1.Check Response Settings in Outlook

Steps for New Outlook: Open the meeting > Edit > More Options > Response Options > Ensure “Request responses” is checked.

Steps for Classic Outlook: Go to File > Options > Mail > Tracking > Ensure response tracking options are enabled.

  1. Review System Notification Settings

You may refer to the steps in the link below for guidance:

Manage notifications in Microsoft Teams - Microsoft Support

Outlook notifications aren't working - Microsoft Support

3.Check Calendar Permissions

If using a shared or delegated calendar, ensure permissions aren’t overriding your notifications.

4.Review Delegate Access

If you have delegates managing your calendar, confirm they’ve configured their settings to forward responses to you.

5.Check Email Rules

Rules may be moving responses to other folders.

In Classic Outlook: Home > Manage Rules & Alerts

In New Outlook: Settings > Mail > Rules

5.Updates your applications:

Ensure that your Outlook and Teams application is up to date, as sometimes bugs in previous versions can cause these sorts of issues.

6.Confirm with Attendees:

Ask your attendees if they are correctly responding to the invites as expected. They might have their own issues that lead them to think they’ve accepted, but it hasn’t been recorded correctly.

You can try these workarounds and update us. I sincerely apologize for asking multiple questions regarding your issue. Please know that my intention is to fully understand your situation so I can provide you with the most accurate and effective support possible.  I truly appreciate your patience, understanding, and cooperation throughout this process. Your collaboration means a lot.
