How do I sort out payment issues on Microsoft

I have seen a R1599 debit on my company debit card from Microsoft. On my Microsoft account there is no record of it. I have tried to follow the instructions about adding another payment method onto my account, to investigate a payment, but it will not accept the card information. I am desperate to talk to someone. The Microsoft helpline is useless. How do I speak to a real person?

    Hello Catherine Cairns

    Welcome To Microsoft Q&A Forum.

I understand that you are experiencing payment issue where a debit card was charged by Microsoft (R1599), but there is no record of the transaction in your Microsoft account.

Here are some steps that you can kindly follow to help resolve the issue:

    1. Re-check All Microsoft Accounts
      • Sign in to Microsoft Account
      • Navigate to Order History
      • Look for the charge or subscription.
    2. Investigate the Charge:
      • Visit Manage Payments
      • Click "Don't recognize a charge?" and select Investigate
      • If your card is not listed, add it temporarily to view linked charges
    3. Contact Microsoft Support (Real Person)
      • Go to Microsoft Support Contact Page
      • Choose your region and select "Request a call" or "Chat with a support agent".
      • If chat closes unexpectedly, retry from a different browser or device. (Use keywords like "billing dispute" or "unauthorized charge" when describing your issue to get routed faster )
    4. Dispute the Charge with your bank
      • Contact your bank and report the transaction as unauthorized
      • Ask for a charge back or investigation.

I hope it helps, please feel free to let me know if you need any further assistance.

    Best regards,

Ian | Microsoft Q&A Support Specialist.
