I understand you're having trouble getting your Brother HL-3270CDW laser printer to print on your Windows 11 PC, and you suspect it might be offline. That's a very common issue, and it can definitely be frustrating when you need to print something! The "offline" status usually means your computer isn't able to communicate with the printer
Disclaimer: However, please be aware that the printer will depend on the connection of the printer you are using with the computer system you are using. With the above problem, the problem may not depend on the Windows system. Therefore, for the best solution, Microsoft recommends that you contact the computer manufacturer you are using. Meanwhile, Microsoft will help you check the basic steps so that you can identify the problem.
Here are some effective ways that you can try to fix the problem:
Solution 1: Check Printer Power and Physical Connection
- Power Cycle the Printer: Turn off your Brother HL-3270CDW printer completely > Unplug the power cord > Wait about 30-60 seconds > Plug the power cord back in and turn on the printer > Wait for the printer to fully boot up and connect to your Wi-Fi network (check its control panel for Wi-Fi status indicators).
- Check the Wi-fi connection to make sure the stable connection between your PC with your printer
Solution 2: Update Windows and Check for Fixes
- Go to Settings > Windows Update > Click "Check for updates" and install any available patches.
- Restart your PC and test again.
Solution 3: Set Printer to "Online" in Windows 11
- Go to Start > Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners.
- Find your Brother HL-3270CDW in the list. Click on it.
- Click on "Printer properties" (or just click on the printer to see more options). > Look for an option like "Open print queue" or "Printer preferences." > In the print queue window that opens, go to the "Printer" menu at the top.> Ensure "Use Printer Offline" is NOT checked. If it is, uncheck it.
- Also, in the same "Printer" menu, check if there are any pending print jobs. If so, select "Cancel All Documents" and then confirm.
