Please tell me why I'm getting a throttled request error message when I try to access the course materials for the MO 110 exam at the following page https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/training/educator-center/instructor-materials/microsoft-365-apps-certification-preparation-materials. I haven't used this site at all today. I only used it yesterday. I cleared my cache and cookies from my browser. Thank you.

    Hello angela lp,

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A

A throttled request error usually means too many requests were made in a short time, or the server is limiting access temporarily due to high traffic.

Since you have already cleared your browser's cache and cookies (this is a good method).

Here’s what else you can try:

    • Refresh after a break: Wait a few minutes and try again sometimes the limit resets quickly.
    • Try a different browser or device: This can bypass local caching issues.
    • Use incognito mode: Sometimes helps bypass session-related throttling.

Be sure that no tools are running in the background that repeatedly ping the site and any extensions that could cause multiple requests in your browser

I hope this help. Feel free to reply back in this post if you need further assistance.

    Best regards,

Hello Angela. The "Throttle Request" error you're receiving when trying to access the Microsoft 365 Apps certification prep materials is typically the result of Microsoft Learn's rate limiting feature. Rate limiting is a protection mechanism that is invoked when a user or system submits too many requests in a short amount of time, which would trigger a throttle.

Even if you have not accessed the site today, background processes initiated by your computer, like browser plugins or maybe automated scripts, can count against the site's requests and trigger throttling. You did the right thing by clearing your browser's cache and cookies.

To resolve the issue, wait a few minutes before trying again and try using a different browser or incognito/private window to launch the page to avoid any cached sessions. If the problem remains after that, make sure that there are no tools running in the background that repeatedly ping the site, nor any extensions that may be causing multiple requests in your browser.

    Best regards,
