Thank you for posting to Microsoft Q&A Forum.

I understand your Hotmail account was hacked and you have already changed your password. To make sure no one else can still access it, please follow these steps:

1. Sign out from all devices

• Go to Sign In
• Select Sign me out everywhere.
• This will force all devices and sessions to log out, including the hacker’s.

2. Check recent activity

• Visit https://account.live.com/Activity
• Look for unfamiliar sign-ins or activity.
• If you see anything suspicious, select Secure your account on that page.

3. Change your password again (optional but safer)

• Use a strong, unique password that you have not used before.
• Avoid using similar passwords to previous ones.

4. Review security info

• Go to https://account.live.com/proofs/manage
• Make sure your recovery phone number and email are correct.
• Remove anything you do not recognize.

5. Turn on Two-Step Verification

• This will require a code from your phone or email when signing in from a new device, making it much harder for hackers to get back in: How to use two-step verification with your Microsoft account

6. Scan your devices

• Run a full antivirus/malware scan on any device you have used to access Hotmail. Hackers sometimes install keyloggers to steal passwords again.
