A web-based tool in Microsoft 365 that enables users to quickly create surveys, quizzes, polls, and feedback forms.
Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum.
I’d like to inform you that unfortunately, Microsoft Forms does not currently support recovery of deleted answers once they’ve been removed. I believe you saw the "This question and all previously collected response data for it will permanently deleted." warning that Forms displayed when you deleted it, so unfortunately, we have no way to recover this data. I understand how important this data can be, and I truly empathize with the frustration this may cause.
That said, there are a few ways to consider to help prevent this kind of issue in the future:
- Export Responses Regularly: Before making any edits to your form, export the responses to Excel. This creates a backup you can refer to later.
- Use Group Forms: If the form is shared among multiple collaborators, consider creating it within a Microsoft 365 Group. This ensures shared ownership and easier access to backups.
Due to this situation, personally, I totally agree and understand the convenience of being able to recover deleted answers in Forms. It's definitely a great improvement to the current availabilities of Microsoft 365 apps.
In that case, I sincerely recommend you go to Feedback community to vote this similar feedback: The possibility to recover deleted responses would be extremely useful for users · Community. Our product team is in charge of the site, and they constantly check customer reviews and feedback, The higher votes, the more attention the related team will pay on. And a lot of the features are developed and improved based on customer feedback.
