How can I configure the Outlook app so that when sending an email (to external domain), the primary recipients (‘To’) cannot view the identities of those included in BCC?

Is it possible ?

As far as I know, there is no native way for this, probably related to Outlook default system policies and configurations

    Hi @David Nguyen

Thank you for posting your question in Microsoft Q&A.

Please understand that our forum is a public platform, and we will modify your question to cover your organization domain name in the description. Please notice to hide these personal or organization information next time you post error or some information to protect personal data.

We understand you're considering hiding BCC recipients while also not being able to view the 'To' recipients when sending emails in Outlook?

Unfortunately, this is not possible with the standard email protocols and Outlook settings. The way email headers are designed, a recipient's email client (whether they are in the To, Cc, or Bcc field) receives a copy of the email with the full "To" and "Cc" lists visible in the message header.

The "Bcc" field's function is strictly one-way privacy. It hides the "Bcc" recipients from everyone else (including other Bcc recipients), but it does not hide the "To" and "Cc" recipients from the "Bcc" recipients.

You could simply add all the confidential recipients to the Bcc field when composing a new email. This is the very purpose of the Bcc field, it's designed to hide the identities of the recipients from another. Recipients in the 'To' and 'Cc' fields cannot see who is in the 'Bcc' field, and 'Bcc' recipients cannot see each other or the 'Bcc' field itself.

Please correct me if I misunderstand your request.
