    Hi Noll,

Nice to meet you! My name is Randy and I'm an independent advisor.

That error usually means Outlook can’t connect properly to Microsoft’s login servers, often because of cached credentials or a local glitch. Try clearing any saved Outlook/Microsoft logins in Credential Manager so it forces a fresh sign-in, then check that your internet is stable and that no VPN, proxy, or antivirus is blocking connections. If it still fails, repair Outlook through Apps & Features and make sure Windows and Office are fully updated, since outdated sign-in components can cause these errors. If you can sign in fine on Outlook.com in a browser, then the problem is with the Outlook app itself, not your account.

    Kind regards,

    Hello Noll,

Thank you for posting your question.

The error message “We can’t sign you in right now. Please try again later.” typically indicates a temporary sign-in issue. The best next step is to contact Microsoft Support for direct assistance:

    Contact Microsoft Support

    1. Type your error.
    2. Scroll down and click Contact Support (you must sign in first; you can use any account you have).
    3. Choose Microsoft 365 and Office under Products and Services.
    4. Select Technical Support under Category.
    5. Choose Chat with a support agent in your web browser.

While waiting for their response, please try the following quick steps:

    1. Clear your browser cache and saved credentials (including cookies and stored passwords).
    2. Close the Outlook app.
    3. Press Windows + R, type: %localappdata%\Microsoft\Outlook\RoamCache
    4. Press Ctrl + A to select all files, then delete them.
    5. Try opening Outlook Classic again.

Alternatively, you can access your mailbox directly via https://outlook.live.com or https://login.live.com or https://www.office.com/ (you can try all links to make sure you can access your account) using an incognito window. If you encounter the same error, clear your browser cache and credentials again.

These steps often resolve temporary sign-in issues.

If the issue persists or you want to provide more information, please let me know. I’ll be happy to guide you further if needed.
