    Hi Jackie Murphy,

I'm Hendrix, here to help with your query on the Microsoft Q&A forums. Apologies for any inconvenience you are experiencing. I am happy to help you today. If your Windows computer isn’t remembering your Wi-Fi password and asks you to log in every time you start up, here are some easy steps to resolve the issue:

    1. Turn Off Power-Saving for Wi-Fi

    • In Device Manager, right-click your Wi-Fi adapter → Properties → Power Management.
    • Uncheck Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power.

    2. Reconnect and Enable Auto-Connect

    • Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Wi-Fi > Manage known networks.
    • Select your Wi-Fi network and click Forget.
    • Reconnect, enter your password, and make sure Connect automatically is checked.

    3. Remove Corrupted Wi-Fi Profiles

Open Command Prompt as Administrator, type these lines and press Enter:

    netsh wlan show profiles
    netsh wlan delete profile name="YourNetworkName"

    Reconnect and save your password.

I look forward to receiving your update and I'm willing to collaborate with you till we resolve the issue. Please keep me informed.

Hi! Please confirm the WLAN AutoConfig (Wlansvc) service is present and set to Automatic, you can restart it via services.msc, since a stopped Wlansvc won’t retain or auto-apply Wi-Fi profiles on boot
