Hey! Try resetting your password first, there’s usually a “Forgot Password” option. If that doesn’t work, clear your browser cache or try a different browser. If the error keeps happening, maybe contact support for help!

2025-09-18T07:27:12.89+00:00 Dear AD,
Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Q&A. I understand how frustrating it can be when you can't access your email, and I'm here to help you get this resolved.
To start, please provide the exact error message you're seeing. This will help us narrow down the issue. Also, have you recently changed your Microsoft account password or enabled two-step verification?
In the meantime, please follow these general troubleshooting steps. Start with the basics, then move to more advanced steps.
- Check your internet connection: Make sure your device is connected to the internet and can access other websites.
- Verify your credentials: Go to [Outlook.com] and try to sign in directly with your email and password. If you can't log in there, the issue is likely with your Microsoft account itself, not Outlook.
- Update Outlook: Keeping your application updated can resolve many issues.
- Open Outlook.
- Go to File > Office Account > Update Options > Update Now.
- Clear cached credentials: Your computer may be trying to use old login information.
- Press the Windows key + S, type Credential Manager, and open it.
- Select Windows Credentials.
- Look for any entries with Outlook or Microsoft in the name and remove them.
- Restart your PC and try logging in again.
- Remove and re-add your account: This often resolves connection issues by forcing Outlook to establish a new connection to the server.
- Open Outlook.
- Go to File > Account Settings > Account Settings.
- Select your email account and click Remove.
- Restart Outlook.
- Go to File > Add Account, and follow the prompts to add your email account again.
Important: Removing your account won't delete your emails if they're stored on a server (like Outlook.com or Exchange). However, if you're using POP3 or have local folders, please back up your data first.
Please let me know what you find after trying these steps. I'm ready to assist further once I have more information.
