When I try and add my card payment it says the information is incorrect and try again later. It has been a week and it’s still not working.

    Hello Biggy BTW,

Thanks for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A Community.

I understand you're having some trouble adding your card payment, and it's been going on for a week. Here are a few things you can check to try and resolve the issue:

    1. Double-Check Card Information:

    Make sure:

    • The card number, expiration date, and CVV are entered correctly.
    • The billing address matches exactly what your bank has on file.
    • The card is not expired or blocked for international transactions.

Note: Card number and card type cannot be edited once saved. If there's a mistake, you'll need to remove the card and add a new one with the correct details.

You can edit other details like:

    Billing address

    Expiration date

    Cardholder name

To do this, go to account.microsoft.com > sign in > navigate to Payment & billing > Payment options.

    2. Card Type: Ensure that you are using a credit or debit card issued from the same country/region as your Microsoft account. Certain cards like prepaid or virtual cards may not be supported.

    3. Card Status: Contact your bank to confirm that your card is active and able to be used for transactions. Sometimes, a card could be inactive or blocked.
    4. Try a different payment method

    If possible, try:

    • A different credit/debit card.
    • PayPal (if available in your region).
    • Mobile payment options like Apple Pay (if supported).

    5. Contact Microsoft Support Directly

If you’ve already tried these steps and it’s still not working, I recommend starting a chat with Microsoft Support or requesting a callback.

    Here’s how to do that:

    Go to support.microsoft.com

    Tap Microsoft 365 > Billing & payments

Scroll down and select Contact Support

Choose Chat or Request a Call

Read more: Add a new bank or credit card to your Microsoft account

Hope this helps! Let me know if you need further assistance!
