I have tried clearing cookies, still get the error 'Hmm...can't reach this page'. Further investigation says that my machine and internet are set up correctly, and rewards.microsoft.com server is down. This error has been seen since the beginning of 2025. My points are expiring in a couple of days, but I cannot redeem unless I can access the Redeem rewards page. Please help! Please extend the validity of the points till this issue is resolved, so that the points can be redeemed

it is not a problem with network or connection,
its a problem with ms being douchbags.

when the acct is now restricted, you can still earn points, but cannot redeem them.

i went to redeem points on xbox for an xbox card showed it took the points and went back to the rewards it didn't remove the points tryed a few times and nothing no error or anything and every time it clearly showed the after balance and said it counted. so i tryed once on bing rewards website to reddem and got an error saying Microsoft Rewards account is temporarily restricted. like what the heck no clue when or even why as i haven't gotten any emails saying anything and the last few times over month ago when i tryed to contact support got no reply back when i was telling them about the blasted 30 min cooldown between searchs. and there is nothing on the account to even show any type of restiction. so now sit and hope they even bother to answer back to fix this.

    Hello Sowmya R

Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Q&A Forum!

It sounds like you're encountering a persistent error when attempting to access the Microsoft Rewards redemption page. I understand this must be frustrating, and I'm here to help you resolve this.

Despite initial reports suggesting the server was down, recent checks confirm that Microsoft rewards website is currently online and operational. This suggests the issue may be localized to your device or account, possibly due to:

    • Corrupted browser profile or DNS cache
    • Location verification issues
    • Account-specific restrictions or verification failures

Here are some appropriate solutions to troubleshoot the issue, please kindly follow:

    1. Try Redeeming via Xbox or Bing Mobile App

    2. Complete Browser Reset:

    For Edge/Chrome

    • Clear all browsing data (cookies, cache, site data)
    • Disable all extensions temporarily
    • Try Incognito/Private browsing mode
    • Reset browser to default settings

    3. Try Different Browsers:

    • Test in Firefox, Chrome, Safari (if on Mac)
    • Use different device (mobile app, different computer)
    • Try the Microsoft Rewards mobile app

    4. Flush DNS and Reset Network Stack

Run the following commands in Command Prompt (Admin):

    ipconfig /flushdns
    netsh winsock reset
    netsh int ip reset

    5. Contact Microsoft Support to Extend Expiring Points

There are confirmed cases where Microsoft support reinstated expired points or extended their validity after users reported redemption issues, you should:

    • Contact Microsoft Rewards Support
    • Provide a reference to your issue and request a temporary extension
    • Save any chat transcripts for documentation
