How do I reset a word table style?

I modified the standard word table style "'Grid Table 4 - Accent 5" in a document. Is there a way to set it back to its format? I tried using "Modify Table Style" but when ever I fix one problem it creates another.

Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum.

Based on your concern, you want to reset the modified word table style "Grid Table 4 - Accent 5". To reset a table style to its default state, you just need to right click that table style > Delete table style. Word will delete your modification in that style and restore it to the original version.

    As suggested, you can delete the table which will reset its standard format.

    However, deleting the table style will also remove the style from tables in the document. If you don't want that, you can either customize the style manually to the desired format or you can copy in the original, unchanged style from the Normal template, overwriting the changes you have made.
