My Comment on a concern has been reported/deleted, I have played Minecraft bedrock for years and have played on my PC with a 4070 and 32gb of ram. Not once have I had any frame drops or ram problems, I even have been able to play with max render distance, giving me 150+fps.

However, like 2-3 days ago, or at least since yesterday I have had a completely different experience. With my ram being used up to over 30gb which is so much more than what the game has normally ever used. It has made playing so unplayable. I have dropped the render distance, nothing. Restart PC, nothing. Ran diagnostics, PC is perfect. It has something to do with an update perhaps and has made playing unfortunate. Please fix as soon as possible. How can this be fixed? Wait for another update?

I am experiencing the same issue, but have a 5070. I was previously able to use Vibrant Visuals on max settings and render distance, and get well over 100fps with no drops.

I am currently getting sub 30fps and lows in single digits while on simple graphic settings, with minimum render distance.

    Edit:
I have found the solution, the "Improved Input Response" is broken, and causes a memory leak.

Set your graphics to simple, then disable "Improved Input Response" and then restart the game.

its probably the new minecraft update. ever since it was updated on my pc, minecraft started to crash and made my screen glitchy. i went into the settings on minecraft on accessability and turned off dithering for mobs and blocks, now its fixed.

i have recently downloaded a couple of mods on education from curseforge and my laptop was running it fine, that was until a couple of days ago when it started having lag spikes so bad it would have frames probably in the negatives.

    Good day Joshua Loera,

Thank you very much for posting your question to the Q&A Forum and sorry for any inconvenience you've met.

I understand you're suddenly facing some lag issues with Minecraft Bedrock edition recently. Since you've already tried dropping the render distance and restarting your PC but no success, here are several additional steps you could consider:

    1. Check thermal throttling

Your laptop sometimes might get thermally throttling now due to dust buildup or degraded cooling performance.

    1. Clear Cache

If you haven’t already, clearing the cache for the game can sometimes resolve issues.

Press Win+R to open the Run dialog

Enter the path %localappdata%\Packages\Microsoft.MinecraftUWP_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache and press Enter

In the folder that opens, delete the minecraftpe folder. This helps clear the game's cache

Then, restart Minecraft to allow the game to rebuild fresh cache files

Note: Backing up your worlds before doing maintenance like this is always a good precaution

    1. Download and run the latest driver for your graphics card

Check Your GPU: Right click the Start button, open Device Manager, and look under Display adapters to see your graphics card name

Download the latest driver from your manufacturer’s website (NVIDIA, AMD, Intel...)

Run the installer > choose Express Install > restart your PC

    1. Reinstall Minecraft: As a last resort, try uninstalling and reinstalling Minecraft. This can help if there're any corrupted game files causing performance issues.

    Important Tips:

    • For you mentioned your RAM usage is high, I suggest using a tool like Windows Task Manager or Resource Monitor to see if a specific application or process is consuming excessive resources during gameplay.
    • Also, because you've ruled out PC diagnostics showing issues, you might want to keep an eye on CPU and GPU usage when the lag occurs. Sometimes background processes can spike usage unexpectedly.

If these steps don't work, it's worth checking the Windows release health page to see if other users also reporting similar problems.
