I have set up a new outlook email address but I'm not being allowed to send a group email to 70 recipients. What do I do to get around this problem. I am not a spammer as I frequently sent group emails via my blueyonder account

    Hi Andrew,

Thank you for posting, I am here to help. To make a contact group for 70 people try this steps.

Open new Outlook on the left pane click on the people icon below the calendar icon.

Select Home > New Contact Group.

In the Contact Group box, type the name for the group.

Select Contact Group > Add Members Add Members, and then select an option:

    Select From Outlook Contacts.

    Select From Address Book.

    Select New E-mail Contact.

Add people from your address book or contacts list, and choose OK. To select multiple people, hold down the Ctrl key as you choose members.

    Choose Save & Close.

To send a group email using your new Outlook account, you might be encountering restrictions based on the number of recipients. Microsoft Outlook has certain limitations when it comes to sending emails to large groups. Here are some steps you can take to work around this issue:

    1. Reduce the Number of Recipients: Try to limit the number of recipients to fewer than 200. If you have 70 recipients, you should be within this limit, but if you encounter issues, consider sending the email in smaller batches.
    2. Use Distribution Lists: Instead of adding each recipient individually, create a distribution list or group that includes all the recipients. This way, you can send the email to the group without exceeding the recipient limit.
    3. Check for Approval Requirements: If you are sending to a large distribution group, messages may require approval by a moderator. Ensure that your message does not exceed the limits set for large groups.
    4. Contact Support: If you continue to face issues, consider reaching out to Microsoft support for assistance with your account settings or permissions.

By following these steps, you should be able to successfully send your group email without running into restrictions.
