Hi, so my pc decided to reboot to recovery mode today. The issue is my keyboard and mouse arent working in recovery. They were working in windows before and work just fine in bios, but when im in recovery mode they refuse to. I tried switching the usb ports, keyboards and mouses but nothing works in recovery, and i cant find a way to just skip the recovery, and boot into windows. Rebooting just puts me back in recovery. Any ideas? I'm really stuck here

Hello Dawid,

Thanks for reaching out to the Q&A forum and apologies for any inconvenience you've experienced.

From what you shared, I see your PC is stuck in recovery mode, and while your keyboard and mouse work fine in BIOS and previously in Windows, they’re not responding in recovery. This issue may be linked to a known issue validated by Microsoft. Please refer to the official article below and follow the steps provided to resolve it:

USB mouse and keyboard not working in the Windows Recovery Environment (WinRE)

I hope this related guidance will be useful. Let me know how it goes or if you have any more questions. I'm happy to help!

What exactly happens when you run System restore from recovery environment?

    Hi,

My name is Igor. It's a pleasure for me to help others and I'll try to help you. I am merely a fellow user trying to provide insight and information that may be helpful to others.

Please use Windows installation media and try recovery steps described at https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4026030/how-to-use-windows-recovery-environment-winre-to-troubleshoot-common-s

Note, Step 7 may be faulty unfortunately.

If this will not help, use the same environment to run System Restore and roll back to the date before the problem appeared.

    Please tell the result.

Hi, i really appreciate you for trying to help, but sadly the recovery steps you recommended didnt help me very much. The chkdisk said it made some changes to the computer, but after restarting pc Im still stuck in recovery with no keyboard or mouse. I also cant roll back my pc. If you have any other ideas please let me know
