    Hello @Jessica Cu,

Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A Forum!

Currently, Word for the web and Excel for the web do not support Organization Templates (Company Templates). This is a known product limitation rather than a configuration issue. At this time, only PowerPoint for the web integrates with the Organization Assets Library for templates.

Alternatively, download templates from your SharePoint Organization Assets Library and open them in Word or Excel on the web (though this won’t provide the “New from template” experience).

To get this option in the office web, I recommend you give suggestion in the feedback portal. Many features of current products are designed and upgraded based on customers’ feedback.

With requirements like this increase, the problem may well be released in the future. Thanks for your understanding and support.

    Best Regards.

It seems that there may be issues with accessing Company Templates specifically in the Word web app, while PowerPoint is functioning correctly. One possible reason for this could be related to how the Office Online service operates, which relies on the SharePoint Shared Services Infrastructure to convert documents into a browser-ready format. If there are problems with the shared services or the service account running the web application, it could lead to errors when trying to access templates in Word Online.

If you continue to experience difficulties, it may be beneficial to check if there are any service outages or specific issues with your SharePoint setup that could be affecting Word Online access.
