Excel Online (Web version) repeatedly losing connection to SharePoint.

    The issue you’re experiencing may related to intermittent network connectivity or cached credentials. Here are some steps you can try:

    1. Ensure your internet connection is stable. If you’re on Wi-Fi, try switching to a wired connection or restarting your router.
    2. Clear your browser cache and cookies and clear the cache in Office Upload Center (or its equivalent in newer versions).
    3. Reconnect SharePoint Service
      • Go to File > Account > Connected Services in Excel Online.
      • Remove the existing SharePoint connection and re-add it.
    4. Make sure you’re using the latest version of Microsoft Edge or another supported browser. Disable any extensions that might interfere with connectivity.
    5. If the error occurs during Power Query operations, note that Excel for the Web has limitations on refreshing certain queries. For complex queries, use the desktop version of Excel to refresh data.

    If the problem persists after these steps, please contact your IT admin to check for any firewall or proxy restrictions that might affect SharePoint connectivity.
