    Hi @Marchaman, Armel (Compliance)

Thank you for posting your question to the Microsoft Q&A forum.

Based on your description, to restore deleted emails for your account, I would recommend trying the following steps:

    1. In new Outlook, go to the Deleted Items or Junk Email folder. If folders are hidden, select the Show Navigation Pane button
    2. Select the item or items you'd like to restore by hovering over the item and selecting the checkbox next to it.
    3. On the Home tab of the ribbon, select Move. Choose a folder from the list, or select Move to a different folder, and then choose a location from the full folder list. You can also drag messages to other folders, or right-click and select Restore.

If you can't find the item in the Deleted Items folder, the next place to look is the Recoverable Items folder.

    1. Select the Deleted Items folder, and then select Recover items deleted from this folder.

    1. Hover over an item and check the box next to it. Select Restore from the Home ribbon.

Note: If you cannot find the deleted items after following these steps, please contact your organization’s IT administrator. They may be able to recover the items if they are still within the retention period.

I hope this information is helpful. Please follow these steps and let me know if it works for you. If not, we can work together to resolve this.

Thank you for your patience and your understanding. If you have any questions or need further assistance, please feel free to share them in the comments on this post so I can continue to support you.

I look forward to continuing the conversation.

To recover emails from Outlook that are 6 months old or older, you can follow these steps:

    1. Check the Deleted Items Folder: Start by looking in the Deleted Items folder in Outlook. If the emails were deleted recently, they might still be there.
    2. Recover Deleted Items: If the emails are not in the Deleted Items folder, you can use the "Recover Deleted Items" feature. This feature allows you to recover items that have been permanently deleted (purged) as long as they are within the retention period. To do this:
      • Go to the Deleted Items folder.
      • Click on the "Recover Deleted Items" option in the ribbon.
      • Select the emails you want to recover and click "Recover Selected Items."
    3. Use In-Place eDiscovery: If the emails are older and not retrievable through the above methods, you might need to use In-Place eDiscovery if you are an administrator. This allows you to search for and recover emails that are no longer visible in the user’s mailbox. You can perform this through the Exchange admin center (EAC) or PowerShell commands.
    4. Check with Your Administrator: If you are unable to recover the emails yourself, contact your IT administrator. They may have additional tools or permissions to recover older emails from the mailbox.
    5. PST File Recovery: If you have previously exported your mailbox to a PST file, you can import that file back into Outlook to recover older emails.

Make sure to check the retention policies in place for your mailbox, as they can affect how long deleted items are kept before they are permanently removed.
