Personal Exchange calendar not showing in iOS Calendar app

I'm trying to add my work Microsoft email to my apple calendar. I can add it as an exchange account and I'm able to sign in and the account shows up. It's loading in my email and contacts just fine.

The issue I'm having is that only other people's calendars that are shared with me are showing up in the IOS Calendar app. My calendar isn't showing up at all even though I the box checked for it to show up.

I've tried deleting my calendar and re-adding it several times and I've adjusted the sync settings so it's syncing as often as possible but I still can't get my calendar to show up.

Is there anything else I can try?

I resolved my issue with a second call to microsoft support. I had the technician run a tool to look for corruption on the mailbox calendar. That solved the issue. THe calendar did have over 50,000 entries but I did not reduce the amount of entries to get it to work. It was a corruption issue and I did not have the tools or knowledge to run a power shell command to look for corruption. As soon as to corruption scan was done the problem was solved. All other pairing/unpairing/activesync/etc failed to fix the problem. I performed all of the recommended actions.

    Hi @con_j,

Welcome to the Microsoft Q&A forum.

Thank you for reaching out regarding the issue with your work calendar not appearing in the iOS Calendar app. I understand how important it is to have your calendar accessible across devices.

Based on what you described, your account is successfully added as an Exchange account, and email and contacts are syncing correctly. However, your primary calendar is not showing, even though shared calendars appear. This usually happens due to how iOS handles Exchange ActiveSync or certain visibility settings.

Below are some steps you can try:

    • Check calendar visibility:

Go to Setting > App > Calendar > Calendar Accounts and confirm your work calendar is listed.

    • Set Outlook as your default calendar:

To set Outlook as your default calendar, please see: Change your Calendar settings on iPhone - Apple Support , at the "Choose a default calendar" section.

    • Remove and re-add the account:

Delete the Exchange account from your device, then re-add it. Make sure Mail, Contacts, and Calendars are all enabled during setup. For reference:  Set up Exchange ActiveSync on your iPhone, iPad, or Apple Vision Pro - Apple Support

Additionally, if your account is managed by an organization, it may be helpful to check with your IT team to ensure there are no policies in place that restrict calendar sync on mobile devices.

Once you’ve had a chance to try these steps, could you also let me know:

    • If your email account is part of your company’s Microsoft 365 subscription or a personal Outlook account?
    • What iOS version your device is running? Older versions sometimes have sync issues.

Your answers will help us ensure we’re applying the correct troubleshooting approach. If the issue persists after these steps, please let me know and we can explore additional options together.

Thank you for your patience and understanding. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out.

I'm looking forward to your reply.

It sounds like you are experiencing an issue with your personal Exchange calendar not syncing properly with the iOS Calendar app. Here are a few steps you can try to resolve the issue:

    1. Check ActiveSync Relationship: Ensure that the ActiveSync relationship between your mobile device and Exchange Online is functioning correctly. You might need to remove and then re-create this relationship. This can sometimes resolve syncing issues.
    2. Sync Settings: Double-check your sync settings on the iOS device. Make sure that calendar syncing is enabled and set to sync as frequently as possible.
    3. Remove and Re-add Account: If you haven't already, try removing your Exchange account from the iOS device and then re-adding it. This can sometimes help in refreshing the connection and resolving sync issues.
    4. Disable Add-ins: If you are using any Outlook add-ins that might affect calendar items, consider disabling them temporarily to see if that resolves the issue.
    5. Restart Device: Sometimes, simply restarting your iOS device can help clear up any temporary glitches that might be affecting the calendar sync.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, you may want to check for any updates for the iOS Calendar app or reach out to Microsoft support for further assistance.
