My Account Suddenly Doesn't Exist Anymore

I have an Microsoft account that I have been using for years, and I have constantly logged into it whether that is to play Minecraft or to access my mailbox and use other Microsoft products. However, yesterday I was still able to access it, but today it has just suddenly been "deleted". I have tried to log back in and do all forms of recovery, but everytime I enter the account name it just says that this account doesn't exist. I have no clue why this is happening could you please help.

I have suspicions that it may be the fact that I linked this account to a Discord server made by Hypixel for account verification and afterwards this happened, though I am not sure. My linked account is a @gmail, and I have two microsoft accounts linked, and when I searched for linked accounts, only this one was returned.

Please could someone help me out as soon as possible.

Thank you very much

Right... So yea I think that is probably what happened, do you know what I should do to stop the hacker? Since in the link they gave you need access to your account to do that, but mine doesn't even exist anymore. Can Microsoft check if someone changed the name of the account or something? Since apart from Minecraft, I've also got quite a lot of saved stuff for work and other stuff too.

If it is not a code to make changes to your Microsoft account, password, or things related to your Microsoft account then yes they shouldn't be able to do anything.

I am not sure if you are referring to this same Hypixel but here is what I found searching: Link

Hi Jerry! I can't say for sure as hackers these days uses apps and other means to steal information from users.

If this Discord bot thing asked you to fill out some information such as asking for your password then it could be that this is the cause. But good thing! You already submitted the form so there will be a team to check on your account further.

Hi there! I'm Ben a fellow member here in the community and hope you are well!

About this issue, did you somehow received any notification or messages before the issue happened? Or if you noticed any suspicious activity before this event?

The only time your account will show as it doesn't exist is if you changed your Microsoft email address/alias or have deleted the account. If you shared any of your account details to somehow or entered it on a suspicious website then your account might have been hacked.

If that's the case, there is a form you can fill out that will go to a team specially equipped to handle scenarios like this. Please fill out this form https://aka.ms/recovermyaccount you should get an email response within 4 hours the latest. The team on the other end will help work through the issue with you.

Note: The form is hosted on the Xbox support site but is available to all Microsoft account holders not just those who use Xbox.

If your Microsoft account appears to be deleted or inaccessible, there are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue:

    1. Check Account Status: Ensure that you are using the correct email address or user principal name to sign in. Sometimes, accounts can appear to be missing if you are trying to log in with the wrong credentials.
    2. Account Recovery: If you believe your account has been compromised or deleted, you can attempt to recover it. Visit the Microsoft account recovery page and follow the instructions provided to recover your account. You may need to provide information to verify your identity.
    3. Contact Support: If you are unable to recover your account through the standard methods, consider reaching out to Microsoft support for assistance. They can help you determine if your account has been deleted and guide you through the recovery process.
    4. Linked Accounts: Since you mentioned linking your Microsoft account to a Discord server, ensure that there are no issues with that link. Sometimes, third-party services can affect account access, so reviewing those connections may be helpful.
    5. Check for Multiple Accounts: Since you have multiple Microsoft accounts, make sure you are not confusing them. Try logging in with any other email addresses you might have used to create a Microsoft account.

If the account was deleted due to inactivity, remember that Microsoft accounts must be signed in at least once every two years to remain active. If you have not signed in during that period, the account may have been deactivated.
