Hi, I am unable to sign in or create an account on the new Microsoft Careers site.

Whenever I try to sign in using:

  • Microsoft account
  • Google account
  • LinkedIn account
  • Facebook account

… I get the error:

“We don't recognize this email. Create a new account.”

But I already have a valid Microsoft account, and I can sign in everywhere else (Outlook, Microsoft Account page, Windows, etc.).

I also tried:

  • Different browsers (Chrome, Edge)
  • Incognito mode
  • Clearing cookies/cache
  • Signing in from my phone
  • Contacting the old Microsoft Careers email (it bounced)
  • Visiting old support links (404 / retired platform)

Nothing works.

It looks like something is broken on Microsoft’s end with the new Careers site.

Can someone from Microsoft please reset my Careers profile or help activate my account so I can apply for jobs?

Thank you.

    Oh I see now :(

    New Career website:

    https://careers.microsoft.com/v2/global/en/home.html

    Old Career website:

    https://jobs.careers.microsoft.com/actioncenter/submitted

    New website has a banner:

Welcome to the new Microsoft Careers site! We're excited for you to explore our refreshed platform and all the opportunities it offers. To get started, please take a moment to create a new profile and set up your preferences—this helps us tailor your experience. Note: Your previous application history has not been carried over to the new site. If you were already in the interview process or created an account before November 17, 2025, your previous profile and applications remain available. View previous applications and profile here.

    Old website has a banner:

Heads up—this platform is being retired. You can still sign in to view your profile and application history, but only for a limited time. If you were already in the interview process, please be sure to sign in and complete any next steps before moving over to the new site. Ready to explore new opportunities? Visit the new Microsoft Careers site to discover what's next for you! If you're a Microsoft employee, please visit Microsoft Career Hub.

You see?!?! "Your previous application history has not been carried over to the new site."

Microsoft, it's rude! It's really rude!

I was waiting for 1.5 months for this bug to be fixed.

Why was I waiting 1.5 months?? What was I waiting for?

It was not a bug, it was a feature.

And Microsoft even did not send me an email explaining this braking change.

Good companies notify the customers several months upfront about such a breaking change.

    Bad! Bad!
