Adjusting alert preferences for messages, assignments, and activity within Teams
Dear @Sarah Kaisman,
Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum.
Based on your description, you can’t type Hebrew in Word on Windows 11 even though the fonts are installed.
Here are some suggestions you can try:
Add Hebrew Language to Windows
- Go to Settings > Time & Language > Language & Region.
- Click Add a language, search for Hebrew, and install it.
- After installation, sign out and sign back in if prompted.
Activate Hebrew Keyboard Layout
- Press Windows + Spacebar or Alt + Shift to switch between installed languages.
- Ensure the language bar shows Hebrew when typing in Word.
Configure Word for Hebrew
- In Word, go to File > Options > Language.
- Under Choose Editing Languages, add Hebrew.
- Set proofing language to Hebrew for spellcheck and grammar. Font Issues
Most standard fonts (Arial, Times New Roman) support Hebrew. If custom fonts like David or Narkisim fail:
- Check C:\Windows\Fonts for Hebrew fonts.
- If missing, install optional font features via Settings >Apps > Optional Features > Add a feature > Hebrew Supplemental Fonts.
