Watermarks, in Word, are graphics (even if text) in the header.

The thing is, there can be multiple headers.

Every Section in a Word document has three headers, if there are multiple sections these may or may not be linked to a header of the same type.

In your situation, the simplest method is to go to each page that shows a watermark and edit the header for that page. Select and delete the Watermark. Exit the header and go to the next page (if any) that displays a Watermark.

    Hi @Pamela Garces Vargas

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum.

Based on your description, the watermark only disappears from the first page when you try to remove it. We truly appreciate your effort in trying to solve this, and we understand how important it is for your document to appear consistent.

This behavior usually occurs when different sections are used in the document and each section has its own header or footer that stores the watermark separately. When sections are not linked, removing the watermark from one section does not affect the others.

Please follow these steps to remove the watermark from every page:

    1. Open your document in Word.
    2. Go to the View tab and select Draft view.
    3. Place your cursor at the start of the document and select Layout > Breaks > Next Page to check for section breaks.
    4. For each section, select the header area by double-clicking the top of the page.
    5. On the Header & Footer tab, make sure Link to Previous is turned on for all sections.
    6. Once all sections are linked, go to the Design tab, select Watermark, and choose Remove Watermark.
    7. Return to Print Layout view to confirm that the watermark is removed from all pages.

These steps should help unify the sections and ensure the watermark is cleared throughout your document.

To remove a watermark from all pages of a document in Word, you need to ensure that the watermark is not set as a header or footer in a way that restricts it to just the first page. Here are the steps you can follow:

    1. Open the Header/Footer: Double-click in the header or footer area of your document to activate it.
    2. Select the Watermark: Click on the watermark to select it. If you see that it is only in the header or footer of the first page, it may need to be removed from each section.
    3. Remove the Watermark: Go to the Design tab under Header & Footer Tools, and click on Watermark. Choose Remove Watermark. This should remove it from all pages if it's applied globally.
    4. Check Section Breaks: If your document has section breaks, you may need to repeat the process for each section, as watermarks can be section-specific.

If the watermark still appears on other pages, it could be due to it being set in a different section of the document. You may need to check each section individually to ensure the watermark is removed from all of them.
