    Dear @Abdulkarim A. F. ELSAAFIAN (230501396),

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A Forum!

Thank you for reaching out. Based on your description, it seems your account can sign in via the browser but not in the desktop applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). This usually happens when the license assigned to your account only includes web apps and not the full desktop versions.

Please check your subscription details here: https://portal.office.com/account and choose Subscriptions to check your license.

If your plan is Microsoft 365 A1, it provides web-only access. To use desktop apps, you’ll need a plan like Microsoft 365 A3 or Microsoft 365 A5, Microsoft 365 E3 or Microsoft 365 Apps for Enterprise.

After upgrading, sign out of all Office apps, clear stored credentials (Keychain on macOS), and sign back in with the licensed account.

I hope this information can help you to clarify it and please feel free to give any feedback in comment section.

If you are unable to sign in to Microsoft 365 applications like Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, but can sign in through a web browser, here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue:

    1. Check for General Issues:
      • Ensure that your account is not locked out and is enabled for sign-ins.
      • Verify that your password is not expired or forgotten.
      • Make sure that Multi-Factor Authentication is not blocking your access.
      • Check if any Conditional Access policies are preventing your sign-in.
    2. Application Configuration:
      • Ensure that the applications are configured correctly. Sometimes, reinstalling the applications can help resolve configuration issues.
    3. WAM Plug-ins:
      • Check if the WAM (Windows Account Manager) plug-ins are installed and functioning properly. You can run PowerShell commands to verify their installation:
             Get-AppxPackage Microsoft.AAD.BrokerPlugin
             Get-AppxPackage Microsoft.Windows.CloudExperienceHost

      • If they are not installed, you may need to reinstall them using the provided PowerShell commands in the context.
    4. Security Software:
      • Temporarily uninstall any security software and check if that resolves the sign-in issue. If it does, you may need to configure exclusions for the WAM plug-ins in your security software.
    5. Clear Cache and Cookies:
      • Sometimes, clearing the application's cache or cookies can help resolve sign-in issues.
    6. Network Issues:
      • Ensure that there are no network connectivity issues that might be affecting the sign-in process.
    7. Monitor for Recurrence:
      • After making changes, monitor the applications for 48 hours to see if the issue persists.

If you continue to experience problems, consider reaching out to Microsoft Support for further assistance.
