So if Microsoft doesn't offer Office Pro 2016 anymore where can I get it? I really like this particular one and haven't been able to master or be able to afford 365. I know there are a lot of scam sites out there and do not want to fall prey. I really have my heart set on 2016. Any advice would be appreciated.

Microsoft has officially ended support for Office 2016, which means they no longer sell it directly or provide technical support, security fixes, or bug fixes for this version. However, you may still find Office 2016 available through third-party retailers or resellers. It's important to ensure that you are purchasing from a reputable source to avoid scams.

Here are some tips to consider when looking for Office 2016:

    1. Authorized Resellers: Check if any authorized Microsoft resellers still have stock of Office 2016. This can include larger retailers or online marketplaces that are known for selling software.
    2. Second-hand Market: Consider looking at platforms that allow users to sell their software licenses, but be cautious and ensure that the license is legitimate and transferable.
    3. Local Stores: Sometimes local computer or electronics stores may have old stock available for sale.

Keep in mind that while you may find Office 2016, it is recommended to consider upgrading to a newer version like Office 2019 or Microsoft 365 for better support and features in the long run.

    Hi Kathleen,

Thank you for sharing your question. I Understand that you really like Office Professional 2016, especially since Microsoft doesn't sell it anymore. It's a bummer when a version you like disappears, and it's smart to be careful of sketchy sites. A lot of folks are in the same boat. I am here to help.

Office 2016 stopped getting updates on October 14, 2025. That means Microsoft isn't doing tech or security fixes for it anymore. The software will still work, but without those updates, it could get riskier to use over time.

If you really want to stick with Office 2016, here's how to get it safely:

If you already bought Office 2016 before, you can reinstall it from your Microsoft account. Just go to account.microsoft.com/services, sign in, and download the installer.

Some trustworthy sellers still have sealed, new copies (like Home & Student, Home & Business, or Professional). Places like Amazon (especially if it says sold and shipped by Amazon) and regular stores are usually safer bets. Always check the seller's reviews and make sure you get a real product key and a download link from Microsoft.

If you're buying for a company or need lots of copies, check out Microsoft's Volume Licensing. You can get Office 2016 Volume License versions through Microsoft’s Volume Licensing Service Center and activate them through KMS, MAK, or Active Directory.

    I hope this helps.

    Best Regards,

    Noel
