I understand you’re trying to activate Office by phone, but the automated system isn’t recognizing your voice and you want to submit your Installation ID another way.
Unfortunately, Microsoft cannot provide a Confirmation ID through email or through the community forum. For security reasons, the Confirmation ID can only be generated directly by the official activation system.
Here are the options that will work:
A. Use the Alternate Phone Method (no voice recognition needed)
When calling the Microsoft Licensing Activation Center, wait for the option to use the keypad instead of speaking. You can enter the Installation ID manually using your phone’s number keys.
Most regions offer this option if you stay on the line.
B. Contact Microsoft Support (human agent)
If the automated system still doesn’t work, contact a support agent, this method does not require voice recognition:
- Go to Contact Us - Microsoft and sign in your account.
- Type Activation in the search box.
- Click Get help and Select Contact Support.
- Choose Microsoft 365 and Office as Products and Services; and Activate products as Category
- Click Confirm.
- You can choose to chat with a support representative.
Note: The chat support team only works during certain working hours. Therefore, if the last window indicates that you are unavailable, try opening it again the next day. If you prefer phone support, you can leave a phone number. That way, they can call you and help you.
