I am confused. I was wandering around the Microsoft website looking for information to upgrade my current Excel 2013 and Word 2013 to a 2024 version that I can just purchase rather than having a subscription. Some how or other, when I restarted my Windows 10 desktop, there were questions about Microsoft 365 Copilot.... which I answered... and now it appears that I have Microsoft 365 CoPilot installed on my computer. I don't want it. Can I simply uninstall it? Also, if I purchase Microsoft Office Home 2024, do I need to uninstall Word 2013 and Excel 2013 first? Thank you for your help.... I am strictly a home computer user and I'm confused.....

Yes, you can uninstall Microsoft 365 Copilot from your device. If you are an enterprise user, you can do this by going to Settings > Apps > Installed Apps, selecting the three dots next to the Copilot app, and choosing Uninstall from the dropdown list. If you are an IT administrator, there are additional methods to prevent installation or remove the app using AppLocker policies.

Regarding your question about upgrading to Microsoft Office Home 2024, it is recommended to uninstall older versions of Office, such as Word 2013 and Excel 2013, before installing the latest version. This helps avoid potential conflicts with the new installation.
