Hi Atley,
Welcome to the Microsoft Q&A Forum.
I’m really sorry this experience has been so frustrating, especially when you’re just trying to enjoy Minecraft together with your sister. Please confirm that you're trying to play Minecraft on PC or on an Xbox console?
Firstly, it's best to re-check with these steps to ensure your settings are synced:
1 - Confirm the correct Microsoft account is signed in
- In Minecraft, open Profile and confirm the signed‑in email.
- Make sure this matches the account where the privacy and age settings were updated.
- If the account doesn’t match, sign out of Minecraft and sign back in with the correct one.
2 - Check Xbox privacy settings by going to Xbox Privacy & Online Safety, ensure the following settings are set to Allow:
- Join multiplayer games
- Play with people outside Xbox Live
- Cross‑network play and communication
If the account was ever part of a Microsoft Family, restrictions can still apply. In this case, you can follow the steps below.
- Remove the account completely from the family group.
- Confirm the account shows no active family association.
- Wait 15–30 minutes, restart the PC, and sign back into Minecraft.
If the issue still continues, you can consider contacting Xbox Support for direct assistance.
Let me know if you need further assistance, feel free to ask me by clicking "Add Comment" or "Add Answer" if you cannot add comment so your response will be visible. Thanks for your effort.
